WORD FOCUS: YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 2:16 “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ….”
“For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart”. (AMP) What you say to yourself is critical to the proper functioning of your mind. Whenever you challenge your mind, it is energized to produce result. This is true both for the natural mind and the mind of Christ that is in you as a child of God. You received the mind of Christ the very moment you became born again; God designed the mind of Christ to respond to challenges. In other words, the command key to the functions of your mind is your mouth. So when confronted with any difficulty and you boldly declare that you have what it takes to get the answers to the challenge, you are engaging the mind of Christ in you into action. The mind of Christ in you created everything that is in existence today, both visible and invisible [Col. 1:16]. The whole of creation is waiting eagerly to see the manifestation of the mind of Christ that is in you, don’t allow it to remain dormant. Daniel challenged the use of his mind to produce answers to the king’s perplexing request of interpreting the dream he had forgotten. The magicians in Daniel’s time could not provide an answer to the king’s request for dream interpretation. However, by accepting the challenge of providing answers to the king’s dream, Daniel challenged his mind [Dan. 2:14-19]
Consequently, Daniel got a national recognition, his friends were promoted and God was glorified in Babylon. Interestingly, you have what Daniel had – the mind of Christ; so engage it. Declare with me, I have assets inside, I will no longer hide under the cover of excuses and the feeling of helplessness, I was born to dispel the powers of darkness. This day, I accept the challenge to provide answers to some of the disturbing occurrences in my community, neighbour, work place, business place, using the mind of Christ. Lord I thank you for equipping me with the mind of Christ to do exploits in my generation. I think creatively inspires thoughts that are strange to the ordinary mind. The purpose of God’s wisdom (mind) revealed to us, it ensures that only Him gets the glory.
