TOPIC: YOU NEED FRIENDS WHO ENCOURAGE YOU
TEXT: Proverbs 17:17 “A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.”

What kind of friend are you? There is a vast difference between knowing someone well and being a true friend, the greatest evidence of genuine friendship is loyalty.(1 Cor.13:7) If you’re wise, you’ll surround yourself with people who support you emotionally, spiritually, and you can share your dreams and ideas with them. Friends may not always help you reach the level of success you desire, but you’ll go further with the encouragement of true friends than you will without them. So ask yourself what’s involved in cultivating the kind of friendships that’ll help you fulfil your God- given potential. It may mean coming out of your shell and reaching out to others.
Instead of wishing you could find a true friend, seek to become one. There are people who need your friendship. Could you encounter hurt and rejection? Sure but you’ll succeed only if you’re willing to take that chance. Ask God to reveal them to you and then take on the challenge of being a true friend.
