TOPIC: YOU HAVE A GOD OF SURPRISES
TEXT: Deuteronomy 28:1-2

The word surprise can be described as a feeling caused by something sudden and unexpected. It could be negative or positive. Really surprise by God is something good that you weren’t really expecting. It’s something that makes you feel special and shows you that someone is thinking about you. His surprises bring us joy and lift our hearts up always. As saints in the light, your heavenly Father wants to surprise you and overtake you with His goodness. Henceforth, He wants to do things that make your life easier and show you how much He loves you.

Another interesting uplifting word “overtake” can also be translated “to catch by surprise.” Jehovah Nissi – your heavenly Father longs to be good to you—He wants to catch you by surprise! He wants to help you accomplish your dreams and overcome your obstacles. He wants to amaze you with His goodness and mercy. We should wake up every morning with the thought,”I can’t wait to see what God is going to do today.” As Christians we should reflect on this mindset daily; an attitude of faith and miraculous expectation and He assures us that our expectation shall not be cut –short.
