MONDAY 3RD JULY 2017
TOPIC: THE POWER OF KINDNESS (2)
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 13:4 (NKJV) Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
This is truly the moral attribute of God; it connotes His gracious and merciful endowments (Eph 2:8-9). Instead to cut off and destroy humanity as our sin deserves He offers forgiveness as a free gift to be received through faith in Christ. Therefore our ability to exercise this attribute is related to our being created in God’s image and to the presence of His grace in our lives. We are like Him, so we are to yearn more for this grace for we shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that we can do or any kindness that we can show to any human being, let us do it now. Let us not defer nor neglect it, for we shall not pass this way again.’ Each day has one thing in common with the next, but both offer opportunities to show kindness, and when missed, those opportunities leave you with unwanted regrets. Beloved, long to help others, genuinely hurt with those that hurt and do not earnestly desire to render evil for evil. Read and study for prayers;( Psalm 103:8, 145: 8 )In summary , the Book of Micah 6:8 shows us the question of God’s requirement for us -His people. Since He has showed us His love He also wants us to display this kind of love in our dealings with one another.
