SATURDAY 7TH OCT.,2017
TOPIC: THE LOVE OF CHRIST
TEXT: Rom.8:35-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written….”
The divine love of God for us is unconditional and evergreen. God loves us regardless of our sins and unfaithfulness.
Apostle Paul was deeply moved by his understanding of the revelation of God’s love and was compelled to ask in the text ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? The pertinent question here is not who shall
keep Christ from loving us but who or what shall keep us from loving Christ. This was the deepest concern of Apostle Paul. There is no question about the love of God because God has proved and demonstrated it. The problem is with us. The love of Christ is so huge that it cannot be compared with any unfavourable situations we are passing through right now and so we will not permit them to affect our love for Christ. You must love God with all our hearts, with all our soul and with all our might.
As we go out today, let the love of Christ motivate you to overcome life’s issues. You have your back covered by Christ Himself – always and don’t ever forget that! It is centered on God’s love. God is love and love is of God. You must love God and love your neighbor as yourself..
