TOPIC: NO TRUST, NO REST
TEXT: Heb 3:7-19 “Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in
the wilderness, Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years….”

For 400 years, the children of Israel were in slavery in Egypt and never imagined that they would one day be free, but God in his love and mercy brought them out miraculously and made a promise to bring
them to a land of rest. God’s intention was to take them safely to that land in 40 days with triumph over every territory that dares to confront them. The promise of “REST” from God was not accomplished in the life of several Israelites because of their unbelief (lack of trust in God).
Do you desire to see your needs met, do you have certain situations in your life that look unmovable and unchanging? From our text this morning God was grieved with those who walked in unbelief (lack of trust in God) and therefore they could not enter into His rest.
Beloved, it is; time to expunge every iota of unbelief in your life. Any mindset that makes you doubt whether God’s word will come true for you must be completely erased from your life.
This can be achieved through constant hearing of the word (Rom 10:17), persistence in prayers and offering of thanksgiving to God always concerning that issue. Let the track records of the Lord be a constant reminder to you that He will never fail, what He has promised will surely come true, only TRUST.
