TOPIC: FEAR IS NOT PART OF GOD
TEXT: Genesis 15:1
When God sends you into a new situation, or asks you to do something you’ve never done before or encouraging and propelling you to move forward as He wants you to get to the top, you’ll experience uncertainty and fear, and have a lot of questions .Obviously it is human to feel so. God knows that; that’s why the promise He gives you is always equal to the project He gives you.
Imagine selling your house, packing up your belongings, putting your family in the car, and heading down the road without having a clue of where you’re going. It sounds unrealistic. That’s was Abraham situation. Courageously, God told him, ‘Do not be afraid…I am your shield, your very great reward.’ The word ‘shield’ means God will protect you, and the word ‘reward’ means He will provide everything you need. Does that mean you won’t experience fear? No, it means you must trust Him in spite of your fears! As a student in God’s college, His mind is to keep training you through His plan.
Another page is opened today and that is, to be brave and courageous in this assignment whether new or existing. Trying to avoid risk is like trying to avoid living; without a goal to strive for you stop growing altogether.’ If Abraham had refused to obey God because he feared the unknown and the untried, he’d have missed his ‘very great reward. Beloved, commit your fears to God in prayers and believe strongly; He is your shield and reward. He will establish your heart in an enduring trust, but obedience and submission is key. What you do in where you are is the best place to begin. Once your dedication is maintained you move from glory to glory. God is with you! Have faith in Jesus. Study Mk 4:29-40. Pray about your faith in verse 40.
