WORD FOCUS: STORM SHELTER 1
TEXT: Prov 10:25 “As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation…”

God doesn’t lie to us neither does he pretend that we’re never going to have trouble in our life. In fact He even uses the word ‘when’, not ‘if’: ‘When a storm strikes…’, ‘when you meet trials of various kinds…’ (Jam 1:2), ‘when we run into problems and trials…’ (Rom 5:3). That might not sound like much comfort to you. here is some good news for us . God doesn’t lie about Himself either. ‘The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe’ (Prov. 18:10). God’s ‘name’ speaks of His character, His reliability, His dependability and His faithfulness. People without God are forced to be their own god relying on their own strength and wingspan to get them through life’s turbulence. Those who love God can say, ‘God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need Him. We stand fearless…courageous in sea storm and earthquake, before the rush and roar of oceans, the tremors that shift mountains…’ (Psalms 46:1-3).
If God won’t lie about who He is (a safe place to hide), then He definitely isn’t going to hold back who He is (YOUR safe place to hide) when you need Him- the father , the Son, and the Holy Spirit lives that inside of me. No circumstance can overtake me for the angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them Psalm 34 :7
