REDEMPTION CENTER

THURSDAY 9TH APRIL 2020

WORD FOCUS: REDEMPTION CENTER
TEXT: Galatians 4:4-7 “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, …..”

When Adam sinned and mankind was separated from God, only one price could redeem us. God could have offered all the gold, silver or cattle on a thousand hills, nothing the precious blood of Jesus could redeem us. Humanity was locked away in a redemption center, and nobody on earth could redeem us. But God so loved the world that He sent His only Son Jesus to redeem us (John 3:16) Isaiah 53:4-5 says “ Surely he hath borne our grief’s and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed.”

Jesus redeemed us from anything that would destroy our peace of mind, and He was made poor so that through His poverty we might be abundantly supplied. This means that sin has no right in your life. Sickness has no right to come on you, poverty has no right to rob you. Depression has no right to harass you. When these things try to sneak into your life, open your mouth and say, “Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law!”(Gal.3:13)

Read the curse of the law in Deuteronomy 28:14-end, so you can appreciate just how free you really are. Then read Isaiah 53:4-5 and consider looking it up in different translations to really understand it. Write it out in your daily journal, in your favourite translation. Get a hold of it. Memorize it. Keep it in your heart and in your mouth. You have been REDEEMED.
