GOD NEVER FORGETS

MONDAY 5TH AUG., 2019

WORD FOCUS: GOD NEVER FORGETS
TEXT: Gen 40:20-23 “And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again;
and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand: But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them. Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him…”

How could the cupbearer forget about the person who interpreted his dream of re-instatement back to office? But he did forget until Pharaoh had a dream two years later; a dream all the magicians and wise men of Egypt could not interpret for him. The question remains, if these men had interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, Joseph would still have been forgotten by the cupbearer. Beloved, man may forget you but God never forgets. He knows all your expectations but you must rest your faith in His unfailing love and care. There may be some delays in your blessings but delay is not denial. Keep trusting God because times and seasons belong to Him. God confirms His faithfulness to you (Isa 49:15-16).

He never loses focus of you or the situation you are passing through. God must come to bless you in the fullness of time. What are you expecting God to do for you? The timing of your blessing is absolutely in His hands. By the middle of the year many believers had forgotten the prophetic declarations they heard at the beginning of the year. If you had forgotten, it definitely means you have no expectations, and if you have no expectations, you certainly will not receive anything by the end of the year because “the expectations of the righteous shall not be cut short (Proverbs 23:18). The impotent man with an infirmity for 38 years may have been forgotten and abandoned at the side of the pool. He had nobody to help him into the pool to receive his deliverance each time the water was troubled by the angel. But God never forgot him. Of all those by the pool, he was the only one Jesus attended to and he was made whole. God will never forget you.
