WORD FOCUS:  FAVOUR WHEREVER YOU ARE

TEXT: Ruth 2:8-9 “Then Boaz said to Ruth, “You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women… “

Although Ruth was a stranger in the land of Bethlehem, she rode on the blessing advantage to succeed in the land. Every advantage has privileges of the blessing – favour in a strange land. In Genesis 28:4, Isaac declared over Jacob “…that you may inherit the land in which you are a stranger, which God gave to Abraham”. This is mind blowing! How can a stranger dominate the sons of the soil? It can only be accomplished by the blessing and it is beyond the five senses.   Favour in a strange land simply means that the blessing upon you converts the limitations of the land where you are a stranger to favour you. That means, your posting to a new location is a platform for you to thrive. Wherever the sole of your feet threads upon, you possess as an inheritance (Deut.11:24). The very thing that swallows up the inhabitants of the land automatically becomes your edge for success; what stands as a hindrance to the progress of men, becomes your platform for exploits. That was Isaac’s story in Gerar. Propelled by the blessing, Isaac prospered in Gerar such that authority figures in the land sought to enter into a covenant with him (Genesis 26:28-29). That will be your story as you move to a new place of posting.

It is interesting to know that places don’t make people, people make places. So, irrespective of the low economic value of the land where you are now or have been posted to, the blessing upon your life will turn the limitations of the land into an advantage for you. Remember, faith converts this into an experience for you, believe the word of God concerning favour in a strange land, walk in obedience and begin to declare boldly over yourself. As you step into your new place, assignment, location, job, business, declare what you want to experience in the land. With your words, you will rearrange events and people to work in your favour.  Declare: in the name of Jesus, I am the righteousness of God; therefore, I am entitled to covenant kindness and favour. The favour of God is among the righteous. The favour of God surrounds the righteous; therefore, it surrounds me, everywhere I go, everything I do, I expect the favour of God to be in manifestation. Never again will I be without the favour of God. Wherever I am, in a strange land, office, nation, business or land, I receive the dew of heaven, the riches of the earth, an abundant harvest of grain and bountiful new wine. Nations will come running to me and people I do not know will serve me.
