WORD FOCUS: BIG GOD
TEXT: Proverbs 4:20 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings….”
No matter what you’re facing today, turn your attention to your BIG GOD, He’s so much bigger than anything else competing for your attention. He is BIGGER than any problem. He is BIGGER than any question. He’s BIGGER than any sickness. He is BIGGER than any financial need. He’s not only the Greater One but He’s the Greater One in you. Stop and praise Him now! Don’t praise Him based on whether or not you feel like it. Praise Him because He’s Worthy, faithful and True. In fact, when it comes right down to it, you need to praise God. You see, God is doing just fine the way He is, but when some situations in life hit us in the face and blur our vision. Challenges cross our path to destroy us and sometimes they’re so big they’re all we can see. Sometimes they threaten to block our view of God. When that happens, there’s no better time to magnify God. Magnifying God changes our perception. It spins us around and gets us looking at the answer rather than the problem. That is when God is free to go to work in our circumstances and help us. That’s when He can send angels to work in our lives, bringing the miraculous help we need. Magnify God! Get your vision fixed! God is BIGGER than your problem. Whatever the problem, whatever the question, whatever the need, Jesus is the answer. He’s your Healer, Waymaker, Leader, Provider, Redeemer, Deliverer. No matter what comes at you, He’s still BIGGER. God is greater, Greater than what? Greater than whatever! And He said He would care for you (1 Peter 5:7) and cause you to triumph (2 Cor.2:14), so take Him at His Word. “He is I AM”
Meditate on these scriptures today and let the Holy Spirit talk to you about them. Isaiah 26:3 the New Living Translation says “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you” Numbers 21, I encourage you to read this entire chapter in the Amplified Bible, focusing on verse 9, “And Moses made a serpent of bronze and put it on a pole, and if a serpent had bitten any man when he looked to the serpent of bronze [attentively, expectantly with a steady and absorbing gaze], he lived. The Israelites received life for a look!
Proverbs 4:20-23 “ My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. 21Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. 23Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life”.
